I was blessed to be at the birth of sweet Baby M.E. at EdenWay Birth Center in Marshall, TX. This lovely mama had so much strength and perseverance! Her labor team was perfect, and the chemistry between her and her husband was just beautiful. Plus, look how gorgeous she is, even after a whole long day of labor! How to Enter:

1. Like my Facebook page: Mama Matters. Be sure to click on the drop down menu beside the “Like” button and select “Add to Interests List”. You will need to create a list, but this will ensure that you see who the winner is when I announce it!

2. You must share one of my Facebook posts about it and post something to the effect of ” I entered to win a free newborn mini-session from @Mama Matters Complete Doula Care & Birth Photography”. You must put the @ symbol in front of my name in order to tag me.

3. Post in this comment area that you have done these 2 things along with with your first name, last initial.

4. To add an extra entry, share this image on Pinterest then come back and post again to tell me!

Session must take place by July 2013. Session takes place at winners home (within 30 miles of Lindale TX only). Newborns (1 day – 6 weeks) only, please. Winner must agree to sign a contract and model release upon winning. Winner will be drawn at random and announced on the blog. Winner has 72 hours to contact me via email to start the booking process, otherwise a new winner will be chosen. Prize is not redeemable for cash. Mini-shoot is a liftstyle session; no props will be brought to location.

This sweet patient mama was in labor for two days! She had so much strength. Well-supported by her husband and doula, she persevered and birthed a beautiful healthy boy, Rory! What a blessing it was to be there to welcome him into the world.

Birth of Baby Noah | Tyler TX Birth Photography

Baby Noah’s birth was super special. His mama had some complications that made it necessary for her to birth before 39 weeks. She really desired to go into labor on her own; lots of prayers were lifted up on her behalf. Two hours before she was scheduled to go to the hospital for induction, her water broke and her labor started! She arrived at the hospital in active labor. Dad was so supportive and often her doula, Mica, and I would join him in prayer over Mama and Baby. The nurses were so helpful and kind throughout the unmedicated labor and almost 6 hours of pushing. Noah arrived happy and healthy weighing in at 9 lbs 2 oz and was immediately surrounded by loving family members who had waited patiently outside. I was so blessed to be there!

I was blessed to be the birth photographer at Baby Maddie’s birth at the Birth and Woman’s Center in Dallas a few weeks ago. It was a lovely birth with many family members in attendance eager to welcome this sweet baby girl!

I was the doula at this birth. Dalton came at 38 weeks because his mom had developed pre-eclampsia. Even though he had to be “evicted” he was evidently very ready to be born! Dalton arrived after only 6 hours of labor. Mama was such a rockstar in the face of an intense quick labor!

Little Thomas’s family had me come out to do a newborn shoot about 1.5 weeks after his birth. It was so sweet to see their girls love on him, and Ruth Anne was just glowing. She looks like a model right after giving birth! What a lovely family.

I was so blessed to be the photographer at the birth of Thomas William! It was a lovely homebirth, this couple’s third baby. The mama, Ruth Anne, and her husband, Roy, worked so well together, as did the two midwives in attendance. Baby Thomas was born around sunrise, and his two older sister woke up to welcome their little brother!

Here is a sneak peek of the birth photos of beautiful Olivia. This precious daughter was born at home with lots of loving support from her family. Her big 4-year-old sister even acted as doula to her mama, handing her drinks of water and wiping her forehead with a cool cloth. It was so sweet! I can’t wait to have all the pictures edited so I can share more of this wonderful birth with you!

Baby Layla wanted to take her time! At 42 weeks 4 days gestation and after two days of labor, this beautiful girl decided to join her loving patient family. Her mom was such a trooper; her two sisters, mom, husband, doulas, midwife, and niece were there the whole time as well! And I’m sure everyone would say that Layla was worth the wait.
